Dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzylamide diacetate

The INCI name of the snake venom-like peptide is Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate, also known as the snake venom-like tripeptide. It is a small peptide that mimics the activity of the snake venom toxin Waglerin-1. Clinical trials have shown that snake venom-like peptides can inhibit neuromuscular contractions, reduce/smooth skin wrinkles, thereby reducing the formation of wrinkles and achieving the purpose of smoothing and wrinkle removal. Moreover, the efficacy of snake venom-like peptides in reducing dynamic wrinkles is 5 times that of botulinum toxin.

Snake venom-like peptides act as effective smoothing and wrinkle-removing active products by relaxing facial muscles. The mode of action of this active tripeptide is completely consistent with the neuromuscular blocking compound Waglerin-1 found in Temple Viper venom. Both work on the postsynaptic membrane, acting as reversible antagonists to muscle nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nmAChRs). They bind to the epsilon subunit of nmAChRs, thus blocking the binding of acetylcholine to the receptor, leading to receptor closure. In the closed state, sodium ions cannot enter, depolarization cannot occur, nerve excitation transmission is blocked, and muscles relax accordingly, reducing wrinkles.
